Honda goes back to Japan with the Civic Type R
Japanese car manufacturers have always kept their best cars for the Japanese Domestic Market. That was until 2007 when the latest generation Honda Civic became available in four-door sedan and three-door hatch version. However, the three-door hatch was not available in the JDM resulting in the Japanese Honda Civic Type R being a four-door sedan! But that’s all about to change with the three-door hot hatch, being shipped to Japan where it will go on sale in 2010 as the Honda Civic Type R EURO.
The Honda Civic Type R EURO will be built at Honda’s production plant in Swindon, England where the previous JDM Honda Civic Type R (EP3 model) was also manufactured and shipped to Japan for finishing touches. The Honda Civic Type R EURO will be sold in limited numbers in Japan.
