Peugeot are currently putting the finishing touches on the new Peugeot 308 RC Z, which will be available for sale from the third quarter of 2010. The 308 RC Z was first displayed in concept form at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in 2007 and is based on the same platform as the Peugeot 308 hatch. Like the concept car, the 2010 Peugeot 308 RC Z is a 2+2 coupe and will make its debut at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Two Dutch designers have been hard at work creating a rather odd sports car with and extremely odd name –the Bewerp Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS! Emile Pop and Justin de Boer spent five years designing the Savage Roadyatch and completed their first fully operational prototype earlier this year, in time for its appearance at the Top Marques show in Monaco. The Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS is based on the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and is the world’s first four-door, four-seater supercar with a folding hard-top, though it appears to have only two doors rather than four!
Renault’s little hot hatch, the Renault Clio Renaultsport 200, has received a mid-cycle face lift, along with the rest of the Renault Clio range, and has also benefited from a slight engine upgrade and improved aerodynamics, courtesy of Renault’s Formula 1 program! Two versions of the Renault Clio RS 200 will be available: the standard Clio RS 200 and a stripped down Clio RS 200 Cup aimed at Renault customers who are “passionate” about their driving!
Just a few months ago, amidst the doom and gloom of tumbling car sales, we reported that Nissan put its GT 2012 plan on hold but it seems that things are changing, according to Auto Express anyway. Auto Express is reporting that Nissan is reviving plans for one of the models that fell under the GT 2012 plan, i.e. a new turbocharged 2-Liter 4 cylinder, front-engined, rear-wheel-drive (FR) sportscar to replace the Nissan 200SX (or Nissan Silvia as it was called in Japan) that as discontinued in 1998. According to Auto Express the small sports car will be a rear-wheel-drive two-seater roadster to rival the Mazda MX-5, the Honda CR-Z and the next Toyota MR2.
The German car tuning company, PPI Automotive Design GmbH, have produced a more potent, hardcore version of the original PPI Audi R8 Razor, the PPI Audi R8 Razor GTR! The Audi R8 Razor GTR has made its world debut at the Top Marques Monaco 2009, and features the same 4.2-liter V8 powerplant from the R8, but modified and tuned to produce a maximum of 580 bhp with a maximum torque of 443 lb-ft! That’s enough power and torque to push the PPI Audi R8 Razor GTR from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 206 mph!
While Audi has recently indicated that the R8 V12 TDI will not see production, there is much better news for the Audi R8 cabrio, with all indications that Audi will definitely be going ahead with a drop-top version of the two-seater supercar. Speculation has it that the cabrio R8 will be available from dealers by 2011! The R8 cabrio version will be equipped with a full-length, lightweight soft-top rather than a retractable metal roof and both V8 and V10 versions of the R8 cabrio will be available. The cabrio will also receive full-length glass hood with an optional lighting kit to allow the driver to illuminate the engine bay at the flick of a switch!
